Ten steps. One world built from scratch.
This is my final entry for the IAMAG Art Challenge — Step 10: The Player.
When the brief asked us to reveal who was holding the container, I didn't want to show a god, or a dreamer, or a human author. I wanted something colder. Something that made the tragedy land harder.
Meet A.R.C.-01 — Autonomous Record Compiler. A machine suspended from the ceiling of a future museum, writing the history of a dead civilization in real time. 847 neural cable feeds. Archival-grade ink. A micro-articulated writing arm with 0.1mm precision.
No one who lived there is alive to read it.
The scene was built in Unreal Engine 5. The unit was modeled and detailed in Blender, going through multiple design iterations before landing on something that felt both industrial and quietly melancholic.
